Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Thought Mesa LLC ("Thought Mesa", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and handles information in connection with AgriManage. By using AgriManage, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you use AgriManage:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you register.
  • Organization information — the name, address, and phone number of your farming operation.
  • Farm and field data — farm locations, blocks, plantings, and commodities you enter.
  • Employee and applicator data — names, contact information, and pesticide applicator license details entered by your organization. See Section 4 for important details about this data.
  • Pesticide application records — dates, pesticides, application rates, locations, applicators, and weather data associated with your spray records.
  • Billing information — we process payments through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details; Stripe handles that directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain AgriManage.
  • Process billing and send invoices and payment confirmations.
  • Send transactional emails related to your account (verification, password reset, billing).
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Diagnose and fix technical problems.

We do not sell your contact information to third parties. We may occasionally email you about AgriManage features, updates, or offers. You can opt out of non-transactional emails at any time by contacting us at lee@thoughtmesa.com.

3. Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers who help operate AgriManage. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us:

  • Heroku — application hosting and database storage (servers located in the United States)
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • SendGrid — transactional email delivery
  • Bugsnag — error monitoring

4. Employee and Applicator Data

AgriManage allows organizations to store information about their employees and pesticide applicators, including names, contact details, and license information. This data is entered by organization administrators, not by the employees themselves.

The organization is responsible for having a lawful basis to collect and store this information, and for complying with any applicable privacy obligations to those individuals. Thought Mesa processes this data only as directed by the organization to provide the record-keeping service.

5. Your Data and Record-Keeping Obligations

You own the data you enter into AgriManage. AgriManage is a convenience tool for record-keeping, not your system of record. You are responsible for maintaining copies of records you are legally required to retain under applicable pesticide regulations.

We will give you at least 30 days notice before deleting account data following account closure.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after account closure to allow you to retrieve records. We do not retain data indefinitely after an account is closed.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Data is stored on servers in the United States. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or court order, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Thought Mesa, our users, or others.

9. Children

AgriManage is intended for use by adults in a professional capacity. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice within the application before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
